Italy has a rich history of artisans, with the first professional guilds established almost 1000 years ago. The artisanship at its highest levels, besides the exceptional quality, transmits the soul and passion of the artisan creating it. Many factories and studios, being small/family owned businesses, have been severely affected by the recent global events. We see the impending threat, posed by outsourcing, boot-strapping and globalization, of small local artisans falling through. We want to prevent that at all costs. We support small local producers of northern regions of Italy, because we appreciate their unique skills and unmatched dedication to fashion.
